1. Proof of Address & Identity: Self-attested photocopies of any two of the following: Passport (photo, details & visa page), Aadhar card, PAN card, electricity bill, bank passbook, water bill, ration card, passport, voter ID card, Driving license, etc.
2. Other Supporting Documents: Photocopy of Passport, Aadhar/OCI/PIO card or FRRO registration certificate.
3. Photocopy of Travel Ticket.
4. From and To Address (along with contact number(s) and zip/postal code).
5. Authorisation letter: Authorizing us to complete the custom formalities on your behalf.
6. Packing list: A list describing the contents of each package as well as its total value in INR.
7. Marriage certificate or Invitation card is required, if gifts and wedding trousseaux (dresses and other wedding accessories of bride & groom) are part of the shipment.
8. Travellers visiting India or holders of foreign passports: Original purchase bill/Invoice of newly purchased item, along with encashment certificate issued by a Bank or authorized currency exchange agent.

Q-4) How much time does it take to deliver my extra luggage from India to Overseas?

Transit time varies on various factors like destination, routing customs, volumes, weather conditions and many other variable factors. However, we do not guarantee transit times, but for general guidance, sea shipments may take 6 to 12 weeks and air freight shipments can take between 5 to 14 days depending on the destination and the level of service chosen.

Q-6) How to calculate chargeable weight of extra luggage shipment from India to Overseas?

All extra luggage shipments are charged at chargeable weight, chargeable weight is higher of actual weight and dimensional weight. For example if the actual weight of your package is 10 Kg and dimensional weight is 12 Kg, the chargeable weight of shipment will be 12 Kg.

The luggage/parcel weight is rounded up to the next kilo. To calculate the volumetric weight, use the below formula:

If dimensions are in centimeters: [Length x Breadth x Height] ÷ 5000

If dimensions are in inches: [Length x Breadth x Height] ÷ 305

It is the international formula to calculate volume weight which cannot be negotiated further. In any case, if you wish to calculate the volume, you may contact us.

Q-7) Do I have to pay any custom/duty charges at destination on my extra luggage shipment?

Duty Charges vary widely according to origin and destination ports. Usually gifts, goods intended for personal use and owned/used for at least 6-12 months do not incur any charges. However, if you send items that attract duty, uncertainties may arise. Newly purchased items may attract duty and you are required to pay the relevant duty for the same. Sometimes even environmental control restrictions may sum up to additional charges. Shoes, camping equipment or bicycles for instance, could attract those charges, so please make sure you thoroughly clean all such items before packing. If in case you are asked to pay any fees, always inquire what you are paying for and insist on an official receipt. It should be also kept in mind that the actions of Customs Services anywhere in the world cannot be influenced. It is your responsibility to ensure that you abide by the rules and regulations of the country of origin and destination of your extra luggage shipment.
